Quality or Quantity???

Hi Reader, I hope you've been having a great summer. Our summer is winding down, school starts August 1! (Hard to believe)

Anyways, I do hope you are taking time to enjoy your summer. ☀️

Lately, I've been thinking about the struggles I had when I first became a Virtual Assistant. (Things that go through my head when I'm overthinking at 1 am 🙄)

I was terrified to narrow down my services. I was freaked out about potentially losing out on clients by not casting a wide net.

The reality is, that hurt my VA business.

When given the choice, most business owners prefer someone who is an expert in one thing rather than just good at multiple things. Quality wins out over quantity.

Recently I've been seeing a lot of Facebook posts like this:

This business owner doesn't want a general VA who can help with all aspects of their business. Instead, they want someone who can help set up courses in ThriveCart. They want an expert. This is why they posted in a group dedicated to ThriveCart software. Because they know that experts will be in this group.

This is why I recommend narrowing down your services. To become an expert and to be able to increase your rates as you become a known authority.

If narrowing down your services freaks you out like it once did me, reply to this email and let me know, let's chat about why that is.
